In many ways, All Saints is our "home away from home." In this project, you will build a website that tells the story of a significant object or location at the All Saints middle building campus. For example:

  • The works of art donated by graduating classes
  • The library
  • The trophy case
  • The lost and found room

Your website needs to include the following:
  • A written description of the object/place - at least five paragraphs
  • An original poem about the object/place
  • Photos of the object/place - at least three
  • A video about the place - use WeVideo. Learn how to use WeVideo at the WeVideo Academy.

Your web site will be graded according to the Google Sites Assessment Rubric and will be worth 100 points.

Once you choose your topic, you will begin creating a website in tribute to its greatness. You will be using Google Sites, a part of Google Apps. Google Sites is an easy-to-use web page builder that comes with several templates and many design options.

Here is how you will be assessed as you work during class:

Open to Growth and Willing to Work (A- to A+)
  • I work hard
  • I work steadily.
  • I try to be creative and original.
  • I seek help and criticism when needed.
  • I work cooperatively and sensitively with others.
  • I make steady progress.

Well-intentioned and Beginning to Get It (B- to B+)
  • I work hard most of the time.
  • I occasionally need to be reminded to get to work.
  • I may seek out criticism, but I have difficulty in using it to improve my work.
  • I rarely distract others.
  • I make steady progress.

Minimalist or Overly Cautious (C- to C+)
  • I need prodding to keep working.
  • I work cautiously, fearing to take risks.

  • I sometimes distract others and make it difficult for them to work.

Unsure or Uncooperative (D- to D+)
  • I am very hesitant to work.
